03 April 2012- The Executive Chief of Kosova Environment Protection Agency (KEPA), Dr. Sci Ilir Morina attended the annual meeting of european Environment Protection Agencies (EPA) network held in London. Mr. Morina represented Kosova for the first time at the high level meeting of the EPA network.Its the first time that Kosova is represented at European EPA network, which is an achievement of our country at this sector of European integration. This participation will allow us to exchange experiences with other members of the network, with the aim of better coordination of the activities for the environment reforms according to European Union legislation and further improvements needed, Ilir Morina said.
They also discussed about their experiences for environment protection and measures which need to be undertaken for further improvements when it comes to the growing green economy.
An action plan for biodiversity , ecosystem services and other important issues for environment protection were also discussed.
On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Sci Ilir Morina met with heads of environment protection agencies from several EU member nations, including Jiri Hradec from Check republic, George Rebernig from Austria, Leo Saare from Estonia and Gerard Poffet from Switzerland.
KEPAs Executive Chief, was invited by his European colleagues to visit environment agencies of respective countries aimed at establishing concrete cooperation.
