Slovenian speleologists impressed with caves in Kosovo

06 Aprill 2012- A team of speleologists from Slovenian Institute for Research of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts was in Kosovo to visit difference caves in our country.

 

 

During the visit from 01 April to 4 April 2012 the Slovenian team of speleologists, joined by officials from Kosova Environment Protection Agency (KEPA) visited the Cave in Radavc (Western Kosova), Mirusha Waterfalls, the Cave of Ponorc and Dush – all three in Central Kosova and the Cave in Gadime (Central-South Kosova) as well.

 

 

 

 

 

The visit of the research team from Slovenia was an good opportunity for exchange of experiences related to the management of the caves in our country.

 

 

 

 

Slovenian speleologists were impressed with high values of natural and touristy resources of caves in Kosova.  During the visit, Slovenian speleologists also met with officials from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planing.

 

 

Officials from AMMK and the ministry and researchers from Slovenia, vowed to strengthen further cooperation aimed at more researches for new caves in Kosovo.
